Hey guys!
We've all heard of project pans and makeout 2013 and even though I was already doing it during the last year I thought I would start a new one and share it with you.
Starting of July 1st, I will not be buying makeup for the rest of the year. I will only allowed myself to buy 1 beauty product per month so 6 until the end of december.
Certain type of products will be on a complete no buy (list below) and certain items I'll be able to buy toward the 6 items.
The only way I'll be able to get more than 6 items will be to use up/throw away/give away a certain amount of the same type of products.
Obviously items that I need (Shampoo and conditioner, makeup remover, etc.) I can repurchase.
Products that are on a no buy : (unless I finish them all (not gonna happen!))
- Body lotion (If you have seen my last post you understand why!)
- Mascara (this is going to be hard :S)
- Shower gels
- Soap
- Body spray
- Primer
- Pigment
- Hand soap
- Hand sanitizer
The rest can be purchase and will count in the 6 limited products UNLESS I use up a certain amount of the ones in my collection.
To buy a new X, I need to use up (throw away or give away counts too) :
- To buy a lip product, I need to use up : 5
- To buy a foundation, I need to use up : 2
- To buy a concealer, I need to use up : 2
- To buy a powder, I need to use up : 1
- To buy a blush, I need to use up : 1 (Which is basically impossible for me :( ...)
- To buy a bronzer, I need to use up : 2 (Again impossible...)
- To buy a highlighter, I need to use up : 1
- To buy an eyeliner, I need to use up : 2
- To buy an eye primer, I need to use up: 2
- To buy a brow product, I need to use up : 1
- To buy a body scrub, I need to use up : 2
- To buy a face scrub, I need to use up : 2
(I think it's everything!)
Exception:
I will try to avoid buying skincare product since I plan on buying quite a few things during the 20% off Sephora sale in November. Those items will not count for the makeout 2013.
I'm not planning anything for nails and hair just because I don't own that many (ok not completely true with nail polishes) but I don't tend to go crazy when I buy them. If I see that I start buying too much, I will add them to my makeout 2013.
Let me know if you are doing one and if you have any tricks. I was on a no buy for a few months and I did okay. When I finished I did buy a few things and that's why I will try to do it again.
I'm not sure how well it's going to go :S
I'm doing this to really use up all my "half used" beauty products and to make a big clean up of my collection. Whatever I'm not using, I'll either give it to someone else, sell it or throw it away! I'm not sure how well I'll do about the "no buy part", but as long as I use up some products I'll be happy :)
I will keep you posted on my progress!
Don't forget to follow and comment! :)
Note : A haul will be posted after this post but I already bought the products and since this new project only starts on July 1st it doesn't count :)

Beauty Hoarder - Makeup addiction
Hi my name is Emilie and I’m an addict. lol
With Youtube becoming more and more popular, I feel like more and more people are getting addicted to hoarding makeup and beauty products and I clearly am a hoarder.
One of the things I have way too many of are body lotions (body cream, body butters...).
The first step to recovery is to admit you
have a problem… Well I think I’m there.
Let me show you…
Who seriously needs over 20 something tubes
and pots of lotion ?!
Me apparently ! (Ok it's even worse than I thought... 40 with the miniature sizes... :S)
I could try to justify myself by
saying that my skin is really dry and that they all have a different
consistency and that they all have a different smell (it’s almost like wearing
perfume!). Some are smaller sizes so I can travel easily with them (who ever really travel that much?), some
work better before I go to bed, some are quick and easy when I just want to
moisturize before I’m out the door.
But still... I have too much and these are just
excuses!
Oh also.. (Am I the only one who does this?)
Like I said I have really dry skin especially
during winter (scales fish legs are not attractive!) so I’ll end up buying once in a while some lotion to moisturize
it and I might use it a couple time… then stop!
Oh and yes I will obviously complain that my
skin is still really dry and I'll wonder why since I have so many lotions… yes
that’s how logic I am!
A part of me must think that just buying it is
enough and that magically my skin will feel and look better without even
using it.
Also whenever I decide that I need more of them I never buy only one. No I have to go and buy a few new creams (totally Bath and Body Works fault for their buy 3 get 3 free sales (I'm not trying to find excuses at all))
I have good excuses for some of them. For example, the Aveeno one... I wasn't home when I got it. I was traveling and I had a rash and I needed to buy something. I even chose a small size (see I was trying to be responsible!).
The next step, after you admitted that you have
a problem, is to find a solution so I decided to include body
products to my makeout 2013 (I'll do a post on it soon!). So I won’t be buying body products for the rest of
the year. No matter how much I love all of these, I need to used them up.
The good news is you’ll probably see them in my future
empties!
Here's a list of all the products (I'll try to update it whenever I finish or give away one!) :
Ramdoms:
- EOS nourish revitalizing care hand and body lotion (DONE!)
- Biotherm Oil therapy
- Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion (travel size)
- Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control (Sample size)
Bath and Body Works :
- TMC black raspberry vanilla
- TMC warm vanilla sugar
- Bali Mango body lotion (x2) (DONE!)
- Sweet Pea body lotion (DONE!)
- Stress relief body lotion (travel size)
- Sleep lavender chamomile body lotion (travel size)
- Sleep lavender vanilla body lotion (travel size)
- Energy orange ginger (travel size)
- Energy lemon zest (travel size)
- Sensual jasmine vanilla (travel size)
- Body butter in Secret Wonderland (Gifted them because I'm allergic to the formula!)
- Body butter in Moonlight Path (Hate the smell will find a new home for it!)
The Body Shop:
Minis:
- Satsuma
- Pink Grapefruit
- Moringa (Hate the smell will find a new home for it!)
- Sweet Lemon
- Strawberry
Normal size:
- Raspberry
- Satsuma
- Sweet Lemon
- Strawberry
- Passionfruit (DONE!)
- Mango (DONE)
- Vitamine E (Allergic)
- Shea
Duo:
- Vanilla
- Floral Acai
- Macadamia (finished one side!)
I thought that sharing them would motivate me to used them up (and let's be honest, I hoped it would make me a little ashamed too!) Now I just have to not buy any for at least the next 6 months. I haven't bought anything from the semi annual sale of Bath and Body Works (proud!). Using them up I realized I much prefer their TMCs to their body butters, but I'll wait till next year when I (hopefully) use all of those to buy some.
In conclusion, yes I have an addiction to body
lotion… and blushes... Actually my addiction with blushes might even be worse but that’s an other story :P
I might do a post on it… but let’s call it blushes collection… it sounds a lot better right? :)
If you have the same problem or would like to
make me feel less alone and weird… comment and let me know if you have
this addiction… or an addiction to any other beauty product.
Also let me know if you're doing a make out 2013!

Hey guys,

Revlon lipsticks: reviews and swatches part 1
Hey guys,
Sky pink: Baby pink not too cool toned not too warm toned. It's a matte formula so if you don't exfoliate or moisturize your lips it will emphasize any imperfection (as you can see on the picture).
Smoked peach: Orange shade with a touch of brown. Also a matte formula, so it's drying on the lips but it will last a long time too.
Rosedew: This lipstick has a pearl finish which makes it not as opaque as cream or matte. This color is actually similar to smoked peach but not as opaque so your natural lip color will affect the final look. With my pigmented lips it makes it more red than smoked peach. It does have some shimmers (nothing crazy just a few)
Softshell pink: Pinky coral shade, since it's a pearl finish it doesn't look on my lips the same color as in the tube (I would put some concealer or foundation on my lips before applying it). Again, there are a few shimmers in this lipstick.
Pink in the afternoon: This lipstick has a cream finish (my favorite) it won't dry out your lips and it's really opaque. This shade is a beautiful warm pink.
Gentlemen prefer pink: Pearl finish, this color is a cooler toned pink but still a really natural looking color.
This was the first part.
I hope you enjoyed and don't forget to follow :)
I decided to swatches my revlon lipsticks today.
Revlon makes one the the best drugstore lip products. They're great quality for a reasonable price, especially with the cream finished ones!

Revlon lipsticks: reviews and swatches part 2
Here's the part 2 with the rest of the swatches!
Love that pink: Bright pink with a touch of coral in it. One swipe gives you an opaque color. I would use a lip brush with it. It has a cream finish but on the dryer side which makes it last a really long time.
Persian melon: Bright cooler toned pink. It has a cream finish
Wink for pink: This is a "my lips but better" type of color. It's a sheer warm pink with a pearl finish. I wish this lipstick would have a cream finish so it would be more opaque.
Primrose: Really cool toned pink. It's more mauvy than sky pink and less drying since it's a cream finish. It's really opaque too.
Coralberry: Mid toned coral shade. It's more on the brown side. It has a pearl finish than makes it look too much like a frost for my taste. The shimmers on this one are gold.
I hope you enjoyed and don't forget to follow :)

Origins Super Spot Remover
Hey guys!
I thought I would share with you my favorite product to get rid of pimples. It's my Origins Super Spot Remover.
I have to say for time I saw it I was a little disappointed... it's so small and not cheap!
It's now retailed in Sephora for 17$ (on the canadian website). At that price you expect a product of 10ml (0.3fl.oz) to be amazing and in that case it's the truth.
The active ingredient in it is salicylic acid.
For how effective it is, you would think it has a high percentage but it only has 1.5%.
It's probably due to the fact that it has a gel consistency. The gel won't go anywhere else!
It is the best product I have ever used to get rid of acne! After a few hours there is already a huge difference and overnight my pimples were almost gone.
I have very dry and sensitive skin and I didn't have any bad reaction to it.
As you can see this product has been well loved... I'm almost out of it :S
But it has lasted me over a year so I guess it's not bad!
I love the packaging.. you can easily control how much you use and you won't spill it.
A little tip (useful not only with this product) is to not "over used it" (let's be honest we all tend to do that!). By that I mean that if you apply a lot of it pretty often and you don't moisturize your skin, you might dry patches around the pimple.
I love the packaging because you can easily control how much you use and you won't spill it.
+++ Very effective
+ The gel consistency helps treating only the area that you want
+ Packaging
- Not cheap (17$) but well worth it
- Little bottle (it still lasted me over a year!)
Will I repurchase?
YES without a doubt!
I hope you enjoyed :)
